Kinja'd!!!

Let’s add on just a half hour for wrap-up and podium celebrations, show the 3rd place LMP1 team getting their trophies, then cut to a Sam Posey video in the middle of the 2nd place team getting their trophies, then cut to a rerun of some bad car show that Fox seems to think we want to see rather than the @*$%ing 24 HOURS OF LE MANS!

The Hulk won and we don’t get to see it?!

I’m crying inside.

I just streamed it from the WEC’s website. Much better.

Doesn’t Fox have reputation of being quite crappy channel? But they did show (some of) the race so they can’t be totally bad.

I watched glitzy video streams that were offline for 5-10% of the time that I was trying to follow them.

Their coverage is normally terrible but was even worse this year: they broadcasted the first four hours on FS2 (which you needed to pay $12 for as part of a larger package), an eight-hour gap where the only place you could watch it was with an app that nobody uses but still had frequent blackouts and stutters due to traffic, then they went back to TV coverage on FS2 for an hour, then had another three-hour gap for the app, moved to FS1 for the an hour and a half, three hour gap, four hours on FS1, then another 1.5 on FS2, then back to FS1 for the post-race ceremonies. This isn’t including the commercial breaks every five minutes nor the inane banter of the witless commentators. And of course they’ll wonder why rating were so terrible for the race.

That $12 could have gotten you the WEC live stream for the entire uninterrupted 24 hours.

If I didn’t already have the package (which I did thanks to already owning Speed’s version of FSGO when it turned into Fox Sports) that’s definitely what I would’ve done. I’m very strongly considering buying the WEC stream next year if my family’s crap internet can handle it, this year’s race coverage was just pathetic.

That is why I sucked it up and sat in front of a computer screen all night. Euro Sport did a fine job of covering everything, including the whole podium ceremonies.

Desktop for peeps. Lets all agree Fox is not really good for anything, they even cancelled Firefly!

NBCSN would probably do much better. I’ve enjoyed their F1 coverage.
